Christmas fun with family...

We've had a busy and fun past couple weeks full of Christmas celebrations with both sides of our family! First, we had an early 'Christmas Brunch' with Shannon's mom and brothers (Grammie, Uncle David, and Uncle Daniel). We ate yummy breakfast food, played the Wii, hung out, and opened presents!

Happy little family!

It's starting to look a lot like Christmas!

The Christmas Tree
We went in search of the perfect, budget-friendly Christmas tree at our neighborhood OSH store...

Chloe sniffed this one out... ("Hmmm... this one smells good!)

And decided we should get it! ( "Let's take it home Daddy!")

Fa La La La La...

Shannon has been having a lot of fun, busily singing in our church choir.
First for Family Christmas...
Sanctuary Choir

And then for six performances of ' The Gosple According to Scrooge'!

Snow!
Chloe saw snow for the first time... at home! We never thought that the first snow she saw would be on our patio in the Bay Area, but it was! We got a good dusting during the night and although it melted by mid-morning, it was a beautiful and fun surprise!

"Cooooold!"

Holiday tea...

Chloe had her first holiday tea today with her Godmother Francine, Grammie, Nana, Mommy, Aunt Ida, and Cousin Brianna! She did so well. She ate 2 smoked salmon sandwiches, 2 ham and cheese, and a cucomber cream cheese sandwich, a whole scone with jam, and a cookie! She walked around looking at the Christmas trees and decorations, and didn't touch them, and sat nicely in her chair during the musical part of the tea! I was a proud mommy!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanksgiving was wonderfully relaxing for us this year! We slept in, had breakfast out, hung out and played as a family, and took naps before heading out to Thanksgiving dinner...

Our little family!

We enjoyed Thanksgiving dinner at Uncle Anthony and Aunt Ida's house this year, as usual, and had a great time filled with food and fun with the whole family- all 29 of us!

Baby Robot Dance

The other night at dinner, Chris started doing some robot dance moves to entertain us and later that evening we noticed Chloe waving her ams around in a really odd way. When we asked her if she was dancing, she laughed and did it more... that's when we realized she was copying daddy's robot dance! For the rest of the night, whenever we said anything about dancing the robot dance, this is what we saw...

Little Friends...

Chloe and her little friend Sariah like to go to the park and play together...

Chloe also had lots of fun at her little buddy Brooklyn's birthday party!

They shared toys...
and hugs... and cake!

Halloween Fun!

Chloe dressed up as a ladybug for Halloween this year and was so adorable everyone who saw her couldn't stop commenting on how cute she looked in her costume!

We went to 'Trunk r Treat' the Sunday before at church and she had fun playing in the baby zone at the little kitchen they had there, sliding own the slide, checking out the pumpkin patch, and saying hi to everyone.

Then, on Halloween, we went to Nana and Papa's house for a big family dinner! It was a great way to celebrate Autumn, with family and good food!

At the Pumpkin Patch!

We took Chloe to the pumpkin patch today! It was 85 degrees outside and she was dressed in a sundress with sunscreen all over and we still could only stay a half hour or so before we all started getting overheated. Ahhh, the joys of living in sunny California! :) Love it!
As soon as we drove up to the farm and she saw the field of pumpkins, Chloe got very excited, squealing and saying 'pum-pum' over and over!

After taking lots of pictures and wandering around the pumpkins for a while, Chris picked out a big one for us, Chloe picked out a baby pumpkin for herself, we visited the llama, watched the train go by and then headed back to the car for some air conditioning, graham crackers, and a nap on the way home.
