Sophia Grace Kliewer is here!

A week before my scheduled c-section, I had just gotten in bed (after eating a slice of pie for dessert) when my water broke. Grammie came right over to watch Chloe (who was already sleeping) and we headed to the hospital around 11 pm.
Because I had just eaten and the surgery needed to be done on an empty stomach (not to mention the doctor on call wanted to keep sleeping and wait for the AM doctor to take care of us), they made us wait 8 hours from when I had eaten! I got my epidural and they prepped me for surgery so we'd be ready as soon as the doctor arrived in the morning, contractions continued getting stronger and closer together, and we tried to get a little sleep while waiting. Time actually went pretty quickly and before we knew it we were headed to the operating room.
Nearly three weeks before her due date, Sophia Grace Kliewer was born; October 8th, 2010 at 7:05 am! She weighed 7 lbs 4.5 oz and was 19.5 inches long with blonde hair and blue eyes!

Pumpkin Time!

Knowing we wouldn't be able to go after Sophie was born, we took an early trip to the pumpkin patch the last weekend in September. Chloe picked out a little pumpkin for Baby Sophie without us even suggesting it! We went through the hay maze, fed the llamas and goats, walked through the flower garden, checked out the train, and picked out our pumpkins of course. It was 85 degrees outside, so after we were done at the pumpkin patch, we headed to Jamba Juice to cool off with a pumpkin smoothie- yum!
